Murder Mystery, a humorous thriller starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, was released in 2019.
Nick, a NYPD police officer, has been an average performer in his duties. For over a decade since their marriage, he and his wife Audrey, a hairdresser, had been unable to make their dream of visiting Europe come true. However, for their fifteenth anniversary, they were finally able to make the journey.
During their flight, Audrey encountered Charles Cavendish, a wealthy individual. She was impressed by his wealth and personality, despite Nick’s jealousy. Rather than following their original tourist itinerary, Charles invited them to join him at a party on his private yacht.
The yacht was filled with people related to the billionaire family of Malcolm Quince. Malcolm, Charles’ uncle, had other plans regarding his wealth; he announced that his new and young wife, Suzi, would be his heir, leaving everyone else in dismay.
An unfortunate event has taken place – a murder. This has put Nick and Audrey in a difficult situation. Will they be able to manage it? Is the mystery of the murder solved? To find out the answers to these questions you will have to watch the movie.
I like or dislike the film. Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston make an excellent pair in this movie. But Adam Sandler uses every opportunity to score points with his humour. I particularly enjoyed the scene where Charles, Audrey and Nick meet on the flight. Nick’s jealous reactions to Charles had me smiling.
However, it’s Jennifer Aniston who really steals the show. The way she confronts her husband about the trip to Europe, and the way she develops a friendship with Charles are both incredibly humorous.
Overall, it’s a neutral choice with a positive bias for a weekend watch!
Blended is a romantic comedy movie starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Lauren and Jim are two single parents; Lauren has sons, and Jim has a daughter. They go on a blind date, but unfortunately, it doesn’t go well. Jim’s friend was planning to go on vacation to Africa with his wife, and similarly, Lauren’s friend was getting ready to go on an Africa tour with her husband. As Jim’s friend and Lauren’s friend are unable to go, Jim and Lauren join the tour, unaware of each other’s presence.
The trip becomes hilarious after they meet each other on the tour. As time passes, they get to know each other, and a warm relationship develops between them. As the families merge during the trip, they find each other comfortable and caring unconditionally.
As we all know, the Chinese PLA army came forcefully to the Indian border, and Adani’s wealth raised at a short time. Similarly, circumstances arise forcefully to derail their relationship after the trip. Whether they are able to get into a relationship or not, you may find out in the movie.
Some movie pairs have very good chemistry, such as Danaal Thangavelu and M Saroja, Nagesh and Manorama, Kamalhassan Sridevi, and the Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore pair would come in this series. Such enjoyable actors they are! Their on-screen chemistry makes the movie exquisite. The audience immerses into the narration without much difficulty.
The strength of this movie is that it tries to be genuine in showing their profound feelings of grief, love, and disappointment along with their family surroundings. The narration is pragmatic, showing the initial teething issues that arise when two families try to blend with each other. The dwindling differences and frictions are portrayed in a gratifying manner.
Despite not being an action/horror/philosophical movie, its relentless sequence of light-hearted, positive reels gives us a satisfying movie experience. It’s a good watch!
Wow, It’s so encouraging to see the Tamil movie industry taking steps to make sure some of their movies are of the highest quality. Usually they will insert an item dance even in Nalayani Charithiram. Movies like Maara are like a breath of fresh air, and it’s like lubricating a rusted engine – it’s so important for the industry to keep innovating and pushing boundaries. Kudos to them for taking this step!

Vellaiyan has had an unrequited love since he was young. He spends time thinking of his lover.
He wrote many letters to her but never sent them. When the letters started to fade due to age, he patiently sat and retrace them, so that her memory would never fade away.
Maara, upon realizing the pain Vellaiya was in, went in search of his former girlfriend. Meanwhile, Paaru heard the same story of love from her grandmother, and began searching for her old boyfriend.
The story is about whether these two young people were able to reunite the two elderly people.
Vellaiya resides in a village nestled within the beautiful hills. The community is comprised of Rani, daughter of Selvi, and Dr. Kani, who is weighed down by the loss of her patient. Vellaiya is like a guardian, providing comfort and protection to those in need.
Although the film is led by Maara, it revolves around Paaru and. The story belongs to Kannamba era. The screenplay has made an effort to take over the plot and the characters like Selvi (Abhirami), Vellaiya (Mouli), Usman Bhai (MS Bhaskar), Sokku (Guru Somasundaram), Lingam (Appu kutty), David (Kishore) and Junior Balayya have all tried hard 🤸🏻♀️ to make the story progress. Despite their efforts, some scenes still appear to be lacking.
The use of sepia-tone to depict the night-time world, a pirate club, liquor bottles, a Christian procession, searching within a church, and Meenakshi’s conversion to Mary gave the film a classic feel.
The cinematography of the film is truly remarkable; the night scenes, Maara’s artwork, and the lush, green hills of the village are all captured exquisitely. Dinesh Krishnan and Karthik Muthukumar should be commended for their excellence. Their shots reminded me of the novel Chennira Vidhuthi (The Red Inn by Balzac). 👌
Gibran’s music is as mellifluous and enjoyable as ever. ‘yaar azhaipathu‘ song is in my playlist 👌
On New Year’s Eve, A thief by name Alexander and Maara had a conversation that piqued our curiosity. The storytelling of this event was particularly delightful, and we should be sure to give it the admiration it deserves. 👌

Bedtime Stories is a 2008 an interesting comedy film. It was the first appearance of Adam Sandler in a family oriented story.
Martin Bronson runs a hotel called Sunny Vista Motel. After 25 years in business, the hotel is liquidated to Nottingham Group of Hotels chairman Barry Nottingham due to financial challenges.
Skeeter is Martin’s son. Nottingham promises to ask him to take care of business later. Skeeter continues as a repairman at the hotel.
Unexpectedly, Nottingham later appoints her daughter’s boyfriend, Kendall Duncan, as the next manager. Skeeter got disappointed and resume to his work under stress.
Skeeter’s older sister Wendy works at a school. With the school closing, she has to travel to Arizona for a job interview. She asks Skeeter and her friend Jill Hastings – who works at the school – to babysit her children Bobby and Patrick for a week.
For a week, Jill takes care of the children during the day and Skeeter at night.
It is that one week that makes this film a magical treat! Skeeter tells stories to lull children to sleep. In it, he acts as the protagonist and tells a story every day with his own life as the plot. The story of a Greek king one day. Cowboy story for another day. Children also pour in their ideas to the stories.
Interestingly, the same story becomes real on the very next day in Skeeter’s life. From there, watch the twists and turns, whether it ends happily or sadly on screen.
A movie for kids! But the screenplay is designed to appeal to adults as well. The visuals, sets and their costumes that match the story made the movie enjoyable for me.

The scenes where Joy struggles to make her invention a success and her disappointment when her company was forced to shut down, shows how determined she was to make her dreams a reality.

The scene in which the patent attorney, Trudy and her father, the fraudulent patent agent work together to force her company to shut down – the way she tear up all her designs with extreme disappointment – stressful!
America Chavez and Stephen Strange are looking for the book of Vishanti. In the space between the universes they were chased by a monster.

Dr Strange refuses to handover Chavez. He hides her inside the Kamar-Taj Buddhist monastery. War is raging between the witch Maximoff and the monastery sorcerers led by Wong. But Maximoff tricks them and kills many sorcerers. Before she capture Chavez, Chavez takes herself and Dr Strange to Earth-838.

At the same time as Chavez escapes, Maximoff uses the dream-walk technique of ‘Darkhold’ to control her counterpart, living on Earth-838 in a dream state. Sarah, a Buddhist sorcerer who survives the Kamar-Taj attack, sacrifices her life to destroy the witch’s Darkhold’s magical action, breaking her dream-walk.

An angry Maximoff threatens Wong to take her to the forbidden ancient temple, Mount Wundagore. There she continues her dream-walk again. She causes destruction in Earth-838 through her counterpart.

Meanwhile Strange and Chavez are looking for help. He is then arrested by Supreme Sorcerer Carl Morto of Earth-838, and is brought before the Illuminati, a group consisting of Morto, Becky Carter, Blogger Bolden, Maria Rambieau, Reid Richards and Charles Xavier.

The Illuminati had previously recklessly used the Darkhold of their universe in an attempt to defeat Thanos. So they explain that Dr Strange version of Earth-838 triggered the “incursion” that destroyed the universe.

After defeating Thanos, the Illuminati kill their Dr Strange, to prevent further harm. Morto believes that Dr Strange (the one currently seeking help) of Earth-616 is equally dangerous.
Before the Illuminati’s verdict on Dr Strange is finalized, Maximoff restores her dream-walk from the Forbidden Temple on Wundagore Hill to arrive at the body of her Earth-838 native. She brutalizes all members of the Illuminati except Morto, and subdues Strange before he escaped with Chavez. The two escape with the help of Christine Palmer who is the ex-fiancé of Dr Strange’s of Earth – 838, He was a scientist working for the Illuminati.

Strange, Chavez and Christine enter the space between the universes and locate Vishanthi’s book which helps to destroy the evil acts of Darkhold. Alas. Maximoff appears and destroys it. She, then, takes Chavez’s mind. She uses Chavez’s potential to infiltrate others and send them into an universe which is destroyed due to incursion.
Meanwhile, on Earth-616, Maximoff begins her next attempt of Chavez’s attempt to seize power.
Meanwhile Dr Strange, sent by Maximoff, defeats the Strange version of the infiltrated universe. The Darkhold of that universe has spoiled the native version of Strange. He became a bad boy already!! After pushing down the villainous Strange, Dr Strange infiltrates the corpse of Strange buried in Earth-616 by the same Dream-walk technique. The corpse rises and acts against Maximoff. Was Dr Strange able to beat Maximoff? Was he able to save Chavez? You need to see the movie.
As the name implies, it is pure madness to write the plot of the movie. Unless we see on the screen, we’ll be mad!!

After having a ‘blunch’ at a Kannada (Indian) restaurant in Farrer park, I wanted to go for a movie. Yes, it happens like that always when I stay alone. I washed my cloths, ironed twice. So, It is not good to waste this brisky weekend.
I wanted to for Kaala, recently released Tamil movie starring Rajini Kanth. The theater for not even half full. But ticket costs me 20 SGD. I had paid 18 SGD for Linga in the past. That was one of the mistakes I did. It was a disaster. My next choice was ‘Veere Di Wedding’. Not fully convinced with it, I got tickets Jurassic World, which was started 5 minutes. Ago.
The story line goes like this – After a fall of Jurassic world, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) wish to save the remaining dinosaurs to a safer sanctuary from a volcanoic island near Costa Rica. A group of people, want to save the species. Another group of people wanted to use them commercially. Meanwhile, these group of people met with deadly dinosaurs, which makes their job much difficult. So this movie is a war between ethics and business.

The visuals were fantastic. I didn’t regret for missing Kaala. The way the volcanic eruptions are visualized is something I have never seen. The ashes and fire being effused like shells, is something very good.
